Whatever the reason for your glorious bonus meal, at Westside Pizza , we’ve got you! We’re here to answer both questions as well as pizza leftover best practices!
What’s The Best Way to Reheat Leftover Pizza?
There are a few methods people typically deploy to reheat pizza. Some people prefer to cover their leftover pizza in tin foil and place it in the oven to reheat it. Another option is to put the pizza on a plate and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds.
If we had to recommend an ideal method, we’d choose reheating your leftover pizza in a skillet on your stovetop. It's a fairly fast method, doesn’t dry out the crust (a downside of the oven method), and can keep it from turning soggy (a downside of microwaving). Simply heat your skillet for a minute or two on medium heat. Then place a slice of pizza onto the skillet and loosely cover it with a lid. Wait until the cheese is melted, and voila - the reheated leftover pizza that is just as delicious as it was the day it was delivered!
Breakfast Recipes To Reinvent Leftover Pizza:
We’ve all had those mornings when we have woken up, opened the fridge to a box of cold pizza, and simply pulled a slice out and started munching. No judgment, you do you. But did you know there are some simple, delicious ways to transform your leftover pizza into a satisfying breakfast? Here are two options:
Leftover Pizza and Egg Scramble
- Grab two slices of pizza and cut them into small, bite-size pieces.
- Beat eight eggs in a bowl.
- Mix the pizza bites into the eggs, ensuring the pieces are entirely covered.
- Put the mixture into a frying pan over medium-high heat and cook until eggs are done.
Leftover Pizza Frittata
- Cut two slices of leftover pizza into small, bite-size cubes. Place them in a bowl.
- Saute two cups of fresh shredded baby spinach, a clove of pressed garlic, and Italian seasoning with olive oil. Mix in with the pizza cubes.
- Beat six eggs in a bowl with ½ cup of cheese. Pour over the pizza cubes and let sit for a few minutes.
- Grease a 8” pan and pour the mixture in.
- Top with parmesan cheese and bake for 25 minutes at 375°.
How Long Will Pizza Last In The Fridge?
Pizza can be kept for up to four days in a ziploc bag in the refrigerator. So if you want a break between eating pizza , you have a bit of time before digging into those leftovers.
Can You Leave Pizza Out Overnight?
Sadly, the answer is no. It’s not a good idea to eat pizza that has been left sitting at room temperature overnight. The lesson here is to make sure you always put your leftover pizza in the fridge, sooner rather than later.
